i was just wondrin if anybody played the guitar besides me here. im not to good. i just started a few months ago. i can play enter sandman(metallica) and, hypnotize(system of a down). anyone else care to share?

what can u play? my guitar is WAY out of tune and i need to replace the strings. still sounds ok though.

i've been playin' for a few months and can play the intro to Iron Man (Black Sabbath) and 316 (Van Halen)

did u guys get a teacher or just self-learning..?

i got an electric and acustic. But ive been playing acustic latley cause its newer and alot harder ! lol, can't bend the strings as much, strenghens the fingers, and just a different way of playing that everyone should now how to do !

from friends and tabletures. to bad there stoppin tabs though. cant learn no more.

i play by ear. Ive got to the pont in which if i hear a song, in a matter of minutes, i'll be able to play it.

i suggest, if you want to get good at quitar, you take lessons. BEcause you can only go so far being self learned. Myself, i started self leared. As time progressed, I couldn't learn any new things. I had a limited learning ability. Also, when you self learn, you can pick up some bad habits with holding the quitar wrong.

what im trying to say, is if you just want to be able to play quitar i suggest buying a book and learn how to play that way. THough, if you want to go a step furthur, and learn more than just a couple songs, get lessons. IT may be expensive, but if you want to play the guitar good, and you injoy it, it's worth it !
